Armenia U-21 retains EURO 2013 Group 3 leadership

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia U-21 retained leadership in Group 3 after a 1:1 tie in UEFA EURO 2013 qualifier against hosting Czech Republic.

Armenia’s midfielder Edgar Malakyan opened the scoring 55 minutes into the game; however, Vladimir Darida of Czech Republic evened the score with a goal struck 13 minutes after.

As the coach of Czech Republic team noted after the match, Armenia is not to be underestimated. “Strange as it is, we missed a goal in the second half when we thought to be controlling the game. Luckily, we evened the score. We lost points, but will try to make up for it in Wales,” Czech Republic Football Association official website quoted him as saying.

Armenia will host another match against Czech Republic on November 11.
