Armeriabank to announce merger deal in early 2012

PanARMENIAN.Net - Ameriabank CJSC continues talks on the second merger deal with one of Armenian banks, with the results to be announced in early 2012, according to Ameriabank development director.

As Tigran Jrbashyan told Oct 20 news conference in Yerevan, no further details will be revealed to prevent any deal-related complications.

In 2010, Ameriabank CJSC – Cascade Bank merger took place.

“Consolidation of commercial banks in Armenia will promote effectiveness of the country’s banking sector,” Jrbashyan noted, forecasting activation of the process in near future.
