As Tigran Jrbashyan told Oct 20 news conference in Yerevan, no further details will be revealed to prevent any deal-related complications. In 2010, Ameriabank CJSC – Cascade Bank merger took place. “Consolidation of commercial banks in Armenia will promote effectiveness of the country’s banking sector,” Jrbashyan noted, forecasting activation of the process in near future.
