Meline Daluzyan fails at World Weightlifting Championships

PanARMENIAN.Net - European champion and World Championship bronze medal winner Meline Daluzyan (69kg) performed unsuccessfully on Nov 9 at 2011 International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) World Championships and 2012 Olympic Qualification Event in Paris.

The female weightlifter bottomed the list of contenders failing to lift 116kg in a snatch; Russia’s Oksana Slivenko won gold, lifting a total of 266 kg.

Female weightlifters Hripsime Khurshudyan and Naira Harutyunyan (+75 kg) and male weightlifters Arakel Mirzoyan and Tigran Martirosyan (77 kg) are due to perform Nov 10.
