BAKU BELIEVES RUSSIA HAS SPECIAL POSSIBILITIES FOR KARABAKH SETTLEMENT

PanARMENIAN.Net - Among the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair states Russia possesses the greatest possibilities for the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement, as reported by Interfax agency, Azeri foreign minister Vilayat Guliyev told journalists. In his words, Russia has close links with the region and taking into account this aspect its activation in the process of settlement could bring positive results. At the same time V. Guliyev stated that Azerbaijan continues to call the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair states to "take a jus gentium stand and not proceed from the position of "the existing fact". In this view he welcomed Russian President Vladimir Putin, who answering the questions of the Russia's citizens last week, stated about necessity of resolving the regional conflicts on the basis of the territorial integrity of the countries.
