Armenians plan to spend average AMD 20-30 thousand on New Year gifts

PanARMENIAN.Net - This year Armenians plan to spend average AMD 20-30 thousand ($80) on New Year gifts at the rate of one person with average AMD 100 thousand salary.

According to PanARMENIAN.Net survey among adult citizens, winter accessories such as hats and scarves were mostly preferred.

Souvenirs symbolizing sign of the year - dragon, cosmetics and household electronics were also named as traditional gifts.

Only one percent of the poll participants noted handing over received presents, a thing more common among women and older people.

According to the survey, each Armenian gives on average 6-7 gifts to friends and relatives, receiving on average 4-5 gifts.
