ARMENIAN SOLDIERS TO PARTICIPATE INTERNATIONAL PEACEMAKING OPERATION IN KOSOVO WITHIN GREEK BATTALION

PanARMENIAN.Net - Today Greek Armed Forces General Staff Chief Georgios Antonakopoulos and his Armenian colleague Mikael Harutyunian signed in Yerevan a memorandum on participation of Armenian peacekeepers in the international peacemaking operation in Kosovo together with the Greek peacemaking battalion. In Mikael Harutyunian's words, the Greek experts, who arrived in Yerevan with Georgios Antonakopoulos, highly evaluated the professional efficiency of Armenian "blue helmets". To emphasize, a platoon numbering 34 Armenian soldiers is to leave for Kosovo with a peacemaking mission approximately next January.
