Armenian and Latvian Presidents Discussed Bilateral Relations

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Robert Kocharian met today with Latvian President Vajra Vike-Freiberga, RA leader's press service reported. The interlocutors discussed the Armenia-Latvia cooperation and exchanged views on a number of urgent international issues. The tete-a-tete meeting was followed by negotiations in an expanded composition. Robert Kocharian noted that the Latvian experience of hypothecary market development, bringing agriculture up to the European standards as well as the reformation of pension system may be useful for Armenia. The ceremony of signing the documents took place immediately after the talks. The Armenian and Latvian Presidents signed a joint statement, agreements on mutual protects of investments and mutual assistance in custom sphere. Besides, an interdepartmental document on cultural cooperation was signed.
