Armenia's outgoing President held farewell meeting with government

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia's outgoing President held a farewell meeting with the government.



Addressing the Cabinet Robert Kocharian said, "I am here to thank you for the joint work we have carried out. I thank my lucky stars for having the possibility to govern the Republic of Armenia in the course 10 years. The results are obvious but we still have much to do. The new President and his government face a great number of challenges and problems, solution of which will be a complicated and responsible process under the world economy crisis.



The number one task for Armenia is security. The South Caucasus is still a region of conflicts. In this respect, our diplomatic efforts should be flexible and adequate.



There are ill-wishing forces in Armenia. But there are also politicians who serve to make our republic stable and prosperous."



He wished the President-elect and the new government every success.
