Hayk Babukhanyan: war was hardest period in Karabakh conflict

PanARMENIAN.Net - For Armenia¸ the hardest period in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict was the war, which is over, said Hayk Babukhanyan, chairman of Constitutional Right Union.

“Karabakh will top the agenda of Armenia’s foreign policy for a long time. The most terrible period was the war. Now, the priority task is to maintain our achievements,” Babukhanyan said when commenting on the statement by Peter Semneby, EU Envoy for the South Caucasus.

“Some intensification in Karabakh talks, specifically the recent meetings between the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan, prompt that the hardest period in the conflict settlement is left behind,” Semneby said.

“I don’t know what hardest period Mr. Semneby was speaking about,” Babukhanyan commented.
