Heritage: coalition declaration signals intention to mar future elections

PanARMENIAN.Net - Head of the Heritage parliamentary group Stepan Safaryan said that the declaration of the ruling coalition defames both the country and those who signed it.

“This declaration signals the intention to mar the future parliamentary and presidential elections,” Safaryan told journalists on Feb 18.

The balance of forces is changed by the people but not by parties,” he said.

According to hi Safaryan, the agreement to sign the declaration was reached before the congress of Prosperous Armenia but was not discuss during it to avoid questions.

“Heritage remains a force speaking out for a unified opposition, as it’s the only guarantee of victory. We will try to find a common ground for collaboration with the other opposition forces,” he said.

However, as he noted, “the Armenian National Congress and Heritage work with different social groups and it will be difficult to draw up a common agenda.”
