Armenian long jump athletes dropped out of 2009 European Athletics Indoor Championship

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian athletes completed their performance in 30th European Athletics Indoor Championship due on Mar.6-8 in Turin.



Armenian broad jump athletes Arsen Sargsyan dropped out of championship qualifier, coming 9th in a group and 20th in the team event with a 7,53m result. Germany's Sebastian Bayer and Nils Winter lead the championship with 8,12m and 8,04m results. The firth 8 long jump athletes to win in the qualifying round are allowed to the final.



Yesterday in the triple jump tournament Armenian's Haykanush Beglaryan came last with a 12,57m result, dropping out of qualifying round.



Final competition and closing ceremony of 2009 European Athletics Indoor Championship will be held on Mar.8.
