Armenian skiers showed good results at International Qualifying Competition

PanARMENIAN.Net - "Armenian skiers showed good results at international qualifying competition due in Lebanon on Mar. 6-10. have twice exceeded their World Championship results and gained enough rating points to qualify for major competitions," Secretary General of Armenian Ski Federation, Gagik Sargsyan told PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.





At Lebanon Qualifying Competition Armenia was represented by Abraham Sarkakhyan, Arsen Nersisyan and Yuri Manukyan, participating in slalom and giant slalom competitions. Armenia's Yuri Manukyan led the slalom standings with 123,54 points, and came 8th in the overall standings. Arsen Nersisyan came 3rd, showing 1.35.01 min result. Abraham Sarkakhyan was seconds slower, coming 4th with a 1.35.53 min. result .

Sarkakhyan was followed by Arsen Nersisyan in the giant slalom race (6th and 7th places).

Yuri Manukyan took the 3rd place, coming 17th in the overall standings





Armenian sportsmen will be retiring tonight. In a day they will depart for Qualifying competition due on Mar. 13-18 in Palandoken and Sarigamish (Turkey). This time Armenia will be represented by Arsen Ghazaryan, Siranush Maghakyan and Tatevik Muradyan who'll joint Abraham Sarkakhyan, Arsen Nersisyan and Yuri Manukyan in slalom and giant-slalom competitions.
