"Winners of the championship will obtain the right to represent Armenia at various international tournaments. Winners will be included in the Armenian national team, " Vice President of Armenian Chess Federation Smbat Lputyan said. Champion of Armenia in 2010 will take part in the European Championship. There will be also cash awards: 1st place - AMD 300, 2nd place - AMD 200, 3rd place - AMD 150 thousand. 10 chess players from Yerevan and regions of Armenia will take part in the 65th women championship of Armenia. The first round will be held on January 22 at 15:00 by Yerevan time. Participants will play round robin.
