Tigran Kotanjyan wins gold at 3rd Karen Asryan Memorial

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian grandmaster Tigran Kotanjyan won gold at the 3rd Karen Asryan Memorial with 64 chess players from Armenia, Russia and Georgia participating.

Konstantine Shanava (Georgia) and Sergey Volkov (Russia) won the second and third places at the tournament.

Karen Asryan, the Armenian grandmaster, 2006 chess Olympian, died at the age of 28 in 2008. The Chess Giants tournament, which was stopped over his death, was later named after him.
