Froch underestimates Abraham’s power, Wegner says

PanARMENIAN.Net - Ulli Wegner, trainer of Arthur Abraham believes Carl Froch is underestimating the power of his boxer.

Abraham faces Froch on Saturday night, Nov. 27, in Helsinki, Finland for the vacant WBC super middleweight title. The match is part of the Super Six Boxing Classic.

Wegner said that Froch doesn’t realize how strong Abraham really is. Froch has promised to make the upcoming match a war.

“Abraham and Froch are both tough boxers. This match will be won by the person who wants it most. Sure, Froch is a strong contender, but Arthur is very well prepared for battle. I think the British fighter still does not realize how force of Athur's punches. Arthur's excellent will power, and need to win, will defeat Froch," Wegner said.

Wegner says Abraham learned a lot from his disqualification loss to Andre Dirrell and the lessons learned were expressed during training camp

"Arthur did not apply the correct tactics in that fight, and because he already felt like a winner before the fight even took place, it eventually led him to underestimate his opponent. However, the recent training camp has shown that Arthur learned a lot in defeat. Perhaps you could even say that it served him better than if he would have won. Abraham knows that in the fight with Froch, he will show his best boxing. This is the only way that he could leave the ring victorious," Wegner said, boxingscene.com reported.
