Abraham: I was overtrained for Froch bout

PanARMENIAN.Net - Former IBF middleweight champion Arthur Abraham (31-2, 25 KO’s) is recovering in Thailand from his surprisingly lackluster showing against Carl Froch in the final Group Stage 3 match.

“I think I was overtrained after eight tough months of training,” he said.

“The fight was postponed twice, so I was constantly wired in. This is obviously not good for my body. When I finally got to fight him, I didn’t even recognize myself. I wasn’t as explosive and strong as I normally am, but the opposite.”

In his next fight, Abraham will challenge WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward in the Super Six semi-final, probably in May and has promised to repair the damage to his reputation in that fight. “I can’t disappoint my fans again,” he stated, fightnews.com reported.
