RA government to allocate AMD 4bln to Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs in 2011January 26, 2011 - 16:36 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On January 26, Armenian Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Arthur Petrosyan presented priority directions in 2011. According to Petrosyan, the Ministry will focus on three directions in 2011: drafting of the concept on funding the development of physical culture and sport, organization of the Best Sport Family competition and implementation of researches for the development of the state youth policy. “Submission of a national report on youth is envisaged under the latter. The last report in the sphere was submitted in 2006 and needs to be amended. As for the concept on funding, it should be simple and transparent,” the Minister said. Petrosyan considers the Best Sport Family competition to be the most successful program of the ministry, stating that the number of participants in the competition will reach at least 1,000 in 2011.
