International Chess Open Tournament in Iran to host GM Tigran Kotanjyan

PanARMENIAN.Net - The 19th Fajr International Chess Open Tournament will be held on 25th February to 7th March in Mashhad, north-eastern Iran.

The tournament will host over 100 chess players, including Armenian grandmaster Tigran Kotanjyan (2519). Kotanjyan is listed 25th in the tournament ranking, with Rustam Kasimdzhanov (2681) topping the list.

Total Cash Prize was set at USD 40000; tournament winner will receive USD 10 thousand.
