GM Tigran Kotanjyan currently 9th at International Chess Open Tournament

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian grandmaster Tigran Kotanjyan has 4,5 points after 5 rounds of Fajr International Chess Open Tournament in Iran.

The grandmaster is placed 9th, while Sergei Tivyakov (Netherlands) is leading the tournament with an equal number of points.In the 6th round, Kotanjyan will rival the highest-ranked participant, Rustam Kasimdzhanov of Uzbekistan.

The tournament will last till March 7. Total Cash Prize was set at USD 40000; tournament winner will receive USD 10 thousand.
