Yuri Sargsyan expects Armenian weightlifters to win 2 gold medals at 2012 Olympic Games

PanARMENIAN.Net - Legendary weightlifter Yuri Sargsyan, multiple World and European champion, multiple world record-breaker and multiple USSR champion, is currently in Armenia.

Australian sportsmen coached by Sargsyan won 2 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals at the championship of English-speaking countries. "Sportsmen trained by me usually participate in B and C tournaments and I show them how they should compete for medals, bringing the example of Armenian sportsmen, who have great opportunities. I expect Armenian weightlifters to win 2 gold medals at the Olympic Games in London."

London will host the Olympic Games on June 27-August 12, 2012. During the 2010 World Championship, Armenia's men and women teams gained the right to be represented by four sportsmen in London each. Greater number of Armenian weightlifters will be able to qualify for the Olympic Games during the 2011 World Championships due November 10-17 in Paris.
