Aronian suffers first defeat in Amber

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s Levon Aronian suffered his first defeat by Russia’s Alexander Gricshuk in round 6 of the 20th Amber Blindfold and Rapid Chess Tournament.

Despite the defeat, the Armenian grandmaster continues to top the tournament standings with 8.5 points, followed by Magnus Carlsen (7.5 points) and Viswanathan Anand (7 points).
