Aronian wins Amber Blindfold and Rapid Chess Championship

PanARMENIAN.Net - Levon Aronian has won the 20th Amber Blindfold and Rapid Chess Championship, repeating his 2008 and 2009 success.

The Armenian grandmaster tied his last round game against Sergey Karjakin but it didn’t prevent him from maintaining the 1 point distance with Magnus Carlsen of Norway. Viswanathan Anand of India finished 3rd.

The total prize money of the tournament is euro 27 000.
