Gevor beats referee after being disqualifiedApril 11, 2011 - 11:00 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - At the famed Bördelandhalle in Magdeburg, Germany, WBO super middleweight champion Robert Stieglitz (40-2, 23 KOs) beat Khoren Gevor (31-6, 16 KOs) with a ten round disqualification. The fight had more than it's fair share of fouls from Gevor, a late replacement for Dimitri Sartison. Gevor received multiple warnings from the referee and was penalized a point for his tactics. During the tenth, it was hard to tell who initiated the tackle from the televised angle, but both fighters went down very hard. The referee blamed Gevor for the foul and issued a disqualification call. Stieglitz suffered a bad cut above the right eye from the incident.
