NO NOVELTIES EXPECTED IN RUSSIA'S STAND ON KARABAKH ISSUE, BORIS YELTSIN STATED

PanARMENIAN.Net - On invitation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev first Russia's President Boris Yeltsin arrived in Baku on a two-day visit. When responding to journalists' questions referring to ways of the Karabakh conflict settlement in the airport Boris Yeltsin said that Russia's position on this issue is known and no novelties are expected. To note, the Organization for Karabakh Liberation protested against Boris Yeltsin's arrival in Azerbaijan. OKL Chairman Akif Nagi stated that when President Boris Yeltsin took a tough stand towards Azerbaijan. "We must not forget that Yeltsin openly supported Armenia. Due to this very reason his arrival to Azerbaijan should be tabooed", he noted. However he added that the OKL does not plan any protest actions against the arrival of Russia's ex-President to Azerbaijan.
