EU Ready to Promote Solution of Karabakh Issue as Far as Possible

PanARMENIAN.Net - «Settlement of the Karabakh problem is an issue to be discussed by the parties to conflict with mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group. If an agreement is signed, the EU is ready to support it within as far as possible, especially regarding deployment of peacekeeping forces,» EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Heikki Talvitie stated in Baku today. He emphasized that the parties to conflict along with the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs should solve that issue. «In spite optimism is still present and the co-chairs work much, there is much to be done yet,» Talvitie remarked. Besides, he reported that during his visit to Baku EU-Azerbaijan cooperation was discussed with Azeri FM Elmar Mammadyarov. Especially the Action Plan within the European Neighborhood Policy was touched upon, as well as the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, he said, reported Trend agency.
