However, the U.S. doesn't intend to dispute Russia's interests in the South Caucasus, said Daniel Fried, Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs.Russia will remain the leading factor in the South Caucasus, he added "It would be unwise to stand against Russia.
