RA MFA annual report: Yerevan took initial step to normalize relations with Ankara

PanARMENIAN.Net - After the February presidential election and subsequent formation of the Armenian government, President Serzh Sargsyan invited his Turkish counterpart to Yerevan as an attempt to thaw the ice in bilateral relations, says 2008 annual report issued by the Armenian Foreign Ministry.



President Sargsyan's invitation was welcomed by the international community and the dialogue was continued by Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Edward Nalbandian and Ali Babacan, the report says.
