RA President hails high level of Armenian-Georgian relationsFebruary 20, 2009 - 21:18 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met Friday with visiting Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs Grigol Vashadze.President Sargsyan hailed the high level of Armenian-Georgian relations, based on the centuries-long cooperation between the two countries. "Intensification of relations will help strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation," Serzh Sargsyan noted. Serzh Sargsyan and Grigol Vashadze also discussed implementation of agreements, concluded during the RA President's visit to Tbilisi in 2008. They also referred to the EU Eastern Partnership initiative, exchanged views on regional and international issues and discussed the steps both states undertake to overcome the global financial crisis, RA leader's press office reported.
