With its warlike statements, Azerbaijan drives itself into the grave

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan, which permanently violates the agreements signed by it on non-use of force, ignores calls of superpowers and mediators, organizes provocations at the line of contact between the NKR and Azerbaijani armed forces, what results in death of Armenian soldiers, this time openly declared its intention to unleash a new war through a statement of its Defense Minister.

Colonel General Safar Abiyev stated during a meeting with the Ukrainian Defense Minister that the activity of the OSCE Minsk Group has not yielded certain results yet. According to Abiyev, under such conditions, Azerbaijan has nothing to do but launch serious and needed measures for the "territories liberation." "We expand our activity in this direction," said Abiyev.

Earlier, Baku threatened to shoot down civilian planes flying to Karabakh after reopening of Stepanakert airport. As Baku's state aviation agency said it has informed the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) that the region's airspace was closed and any flights would be unauthorized. "According to the law on aviation, it is even possible to physically destroy airplanes which are heading there," Arif Mammadov, director of Azerbaijan's Civil Aviation Administration, said in comments to local media. "We asked the ICAO to notify the opposing side in order to prevent incidents," he said.

Armenia and Artsakh continuously warn Baku that the second war in Karabakh will result in another defeat of Azerbaijan, despite convulsive purchase of enormous volumes of arms by it, which are aimed at compensating the lack of professional army. As for the threat of shooting down aircrafts, Artsakh warned that any attempt to implement it will be fraught with unpredictable consequences for Azerbaijan.

In other words, prior to distracting the Azerbaijani people's attention from internal problems through tales about the invincibility of the Azerbaijani army, which was once defeated, the Azerbaijani authorities should think twice, since it may turn out that they will be have to launch a war, which will be fatal for the Azerbaijani people.
