BANK ROBBED IN CENTER OF TBILISIDecember 4, 2003 - 21:04 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Today a branch of the Georgian United Bank was robbed in the center of Tbilisi. As reported by "Novosti" Russian agency referring to the press service of the ministry of internal affairs of Georgia, a group of armed robbers in masks had rushed in the bank building. Having disarmed the guard, the criminals took a way a big sum of money. No one suffered in the incident. The police is trying to find out the details of the affair and the amount of means stolen. It should be noted that another incident occurred in Tbilisi last evening. An explosion took place near the TV Center building damaging the nearby trade pavilions, however there are no victims. An hour later an unknown person called the TV and said another bomb was in the TV Center. The personnel was immediately evacuated from the building. However, a live information program hosting the Russian ambassador continued in the air.
