Armenia to face China in World Chess Olympiad last round

PanARMENIAN.Net - The last, 11th round of Istanbul-hosted World Chess Olympiad is due September 9, with Armenian team to face off against Hungary, 5th with 15 points.

After round 10, Armenian team has gained 17 points to share the 1-3 places. Tiebreak points place China 1st, followed by Armenia and Russia.

In round 11, China and Russia will rival Ukraine and Germany respectively.

Armenian chess players got off to a successful start at the championship, having beaten Bolivian, Bangladesh, Spanish, Philippine and Ukrainian teams. Armenia tied a game against Russia, and lost to China.
