Stephan El Shaarawy: happy with performance vs. Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Italian forward Stephan El Shaarawy, who replaced Sebastian Giovinco on 60 minute of match vs. Armenia, shared his emotions after his debut.

The ‘Little Pharaoh’ came off the bench in the 3-1 win over Armenia on Friday, Oct 12 night and was only denied by a goalline clearance.

“I am very happy with the performance, less so with failing to score,” said the forward who made his first competitive appearance for the senior Azzurri.

“Now we have to look ahead to the next game, because the important thing is to win against Denmark on Tuesday.”

El Shaarawy has become a key figure for the Rossoneri and is now pushing his way into the Italy line-up, even though he doesn’t turn 20 until October 27, Football Italia reported.
