Rafayel Simonyan drops out of Youth World Boxing Championships

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s Rafayel Simonyan (91 kg) lost to Australia’s Tapu Jai Opetaia 14:4 to drop out of Yerevan-hosted AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships on Dec 2.

Henrik Mokoyan (52 kg) will later face off against Jordan’s Adel Almatbouli, with Narek Melkonyan (+91 kg) to clash Turkey’s Yasin Yildirim.

Earlier, Taron Soghomonyan (56 kg), Gor Yeritsyan (64 kg) and Artavazd Haroyan (75 kg) scored double wins to secure further participation in the championships.
