Henrikh Mkhitaryan ready to discuss contract extension with Borussia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the current midfielder for German club Borussia Dortmund and captain of the Armenia national team has discussed the possibility of extending his contract with Borussia in an interview with Kicker, ArmSports.am reports.

“I am ambitious and willing to achieve significant results,” the sportsman said. “Football being a short career, I want to do my best and win as many titles as possible. We have a wonderful couch and an amazing style of play that suits me quite well.”

“If Borussia wants to extend the contract, my agent and I are willing to discuss the details,” Mkhitaryan went on to say.

Juventus could make another effort to sign Borussia Dortmund playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan next summer, Footbal Insider reported in early January.

The Armenia international has been one of the stars of the Dortmund team this season and was heavily linked with a move to Juventus last summer, but a deal never happened.

Juventus have continued to monitor his performances this season. While they believe a January move is not possible, the club are ready to take a stab at him again next summer.

With 15 goals and 19 assists from 28 appearances this season, the Armenian has been one of the star performers for Dortmund and Juventus want him to wear their colors next term.

Borussia Dortmund had signed a 4-year contract with Mkhitaryan in July, 2013.
