Henrikh Mkhitaryan wants move to Manchester United: agent

PanARMENIAN.Net - Manchester United's chances of landing attacking midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan have received a huge boost after his agent confirmed he is keen on a move to the club, HITC Sport reports.

Mkhitaryan's agent is Mino Raiola, who is also the agent for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, also linked to the Red Devils.

Speaking to German newspaper BILD, reported by channel Sport1, Raiola said: "Man United is a unique opportunity, Micki wants to go there."

Mkhitaryan's contract at Borussia Dortmund runs out in one year, and Raiola is pushing hard for a move now, despite the German club threatening they may keep him and let him leave in a year's time on a free transfer.

The Armenian international had been linked to Arsenal, who were considered favorites to land him, with The Sun claiming earlier this month they were closing on a £25 million (over $36 million) move.

The Mail reported last week that Manchester United had entered the race for the attacker, who provided 20 assists last season and scored 18 goals.

The attacker can play across the front line in a variety of positions and at 27-years-old, will be expected to make an immediate impact if he signs.
