Schedule announced for Armenian weightlifters  in Norway

PanARMENIAN.Net - The 2025 World Weightlifting Championships for seniors kicked off on October 2 in Førde, Norway, with Armenian athletes set to compete across various weight categories.

The Armenian Weightlifting Federation released the national team’s full competition schedule:

October 3, 21:30 – 60 kg: Garnik Cholakyan

October 5, 21:30 – 71 kg: Gor Sahakyan

October 7, 19:00 – 88 kg: Suren Grigoryan

October 8, 19:00 – 77 kg (Group B): Anna Amroyan

October 10, 21:30 – 110 kg: Simon Martirosyan, Garik Karapetyan

October 11, 18:00 – +110 kg: Varazdat Lalayan

The Armenian men’s team is led by head coach Pashik Alaverdyan, with Hakob Piloyan serving as assistant coach. The women’s team is coached by Artashes Nersisyan and Taron Tovmasyan, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport reported.

More than 400 athletes have registered for the championship, including numerous Olympic, world, and continental champions and medalists.
