Boxer Gabriel Tolmajyan glad to be performing in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian-born boxer Gabriel Tolmajyan, who currently resides and trains in U.S. will have his 13th combat on September 3 in Yerevan.

In a conversation with a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, the boxer said, “I’m very glad to be performing in Yerevan for which I thank Vic Darchinyan who invited me. I hope our combats will promote development of professional box in Armenia.”

The boxer is participating in 8-round sparring sessions with Darchinyan and Azat Hovhannisyan, who’s recently gone into professional box. “Sparring is essential to seeing yourself in action and working on correction of mistakes,” the boxer said.

“At September 3 clash, I’ll rival a Mexican boxer. I haven’t seen his combats, but I know him to have had 40 clashes. Still, I’ll try my best to win,” Tolmajyan said.
