Vladimir Weiss: Ireland, Russia, Armenia have chance to make it to EURO 2012

PanARMENIAN.Net - Slovakia team head coach Vladimir Weiss congratulated Armenian team on their impressive game in UEFA EURO 2012 Group B qualifier.

“Armenia showed a strong performance, specifically in the second half. Slovakia's fate remains uncertain; yet we clearly lost our chances. Ireland, Russia and Armenia, on the other hand, can make it to EURO 2012,” Weiss said after Slovakia-hosted match.

On September 6, Armenia won a crushing 4:0 victory in UEFA EURO 2012 Group B qualifier against hosting Slovakia, scoring four second-half goals.

During the first Yerevan-hosted Armenia vs. Slovakia clash, Armenia gained a 3:1 win over Slovakia.

With two more games to play, Slovakia is fourth in Group B with 14 points. Armenia is third, also on 14 and three behind leader Russia. Ireland is second on 15 points.
