Youri Djorkaeff wishes Armenia victory in EURO 2012

PanARMENIAN.Net - 1998 FIFA World Cup and Euro 2000 winner, Armenian –born midfielder Youri Djorkaeff arrived in Yerevan on October 6 as a part of French delegation, accompanying Nicolas Sarkozy.

“I’m glad to be a part of the delegation, which gave me a chance of yet another visit to Armenia,” the honorable citizen of Armenia said.

Djorkaeff expressed a hope for the visit of French President to further strengthen bilateral ties. “The visit is a clear sign of friendship between the two countries,’ he noted.

In conclusion, Djorkaeff wished victory to Armenian team in the oncoming EURO 2012 qualifier vs. Macedonia.

In 2006, Djorkaeff visited Armenia as a part of French President Jacques Chirac delegation.
