Armenian soccer team welcomed in airport as heroes

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian national football team landed in Yerevan Zvartnots Airport on October 12 morning after a 2-1 defeat by Ireland in an UEFA EURO 2012 qualifier which was full with injustices for Armenia.

The players were welcomed as heroes, with dozens of fans coming to support and praise them.

Although Armenia's EURO 2012 dream did not come true, the team showed beautiful football in all matches, scoring 22 goals, a phenomenal result. Vardan Minasyan and his men proved that Armenian football is alive.
