Armenia’s Independence Day marked in India

PanARMENIAN.Net - On September 21, 2010, Armenian Holy Church of Nazareth and Armenian College and Philanthropic Academy (ACPA), Kolkata, India celebrated the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia at ACPA.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to India, His Excellency Mr. Ara Hakobyan and the Honourable Consul, Mr. Davit Knyazyan were among the distinguished guests present at the programme.

The ceremony commenced with the inauguration of an art exhibition entitled Armenia, My Love. It aimed to express images of Armenia through various paintings done by the students of the college. The inauguration was followed by the screening of a documentary film on Armenia.

The function was attended by the wardens, church committee members of Armenian Holy Church of Nazareth, Armenian community in India, the members of staff, the students of Armenian College and the guests for the occasion, ACPA information service told PanARMENIAN.Net
