Karabakh marks HALO Trust 10th anniversaryJune 7, 2010 - 17:03 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On June 7, NKR President Bako Sahakyan visited the village of Khachen in Askeran Region. The President participated in solemn ceremony dedicated to 10th anniversary of HALO Trust organization activities in Artsakh. Former vice-speaker of the British Parliament’s House of Lords Baroness Caroline Cox was also present at the ceremony. Bako Sahakyan thanked the organization for its activities, characterizing it as an important humanitarian mission. NKR President met Khachen school teaching staff to discuss a number of issues on school reforms. NKR Defense Minister Movses Hakobyan and other officials accompanied the President during his visit, Central Information Department at NKR President’s office reported. Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. Authorities said a total of 192 Azerbaijani troops were killed and 511 were wounded during Azerbaijan’s offensive. Partner news |
