Astrakhan presidential statement is of humanitarian nature, RF President says

PanARMENIAN.Net - Although meetings between Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents often proceed in a tough atmosphere, they are very useful, Russian President stated.

“The joint statement adopted upon the results of the October 27 trilateral meeting is of humanitarian nature. It envisages trust building measures, exchange of POWs and return of the bodies of killed,” Dmitry Medvedev said.

“We have done much to hope for development of a coordinated package of basic principles before the OSCE summit in Astana. Russia will continue efforts to gain results, although the great deal of work is still to be done,” he said.
