Vanik Avetisyan brought Armenia the second medal in European Weigh-Lifting Championship

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian weigh-lifter Vanik Avetisyan (w/c 62 kg.) became the first athlete below age 23 to lift 270 kg. weigh (119 jerks and 151 jolts) in European Championship. In recent competition, Diamin Vishevski of Poland became European Champion (w/c 274 kg.) while Turkey's Ceasar Bunia (273 kg.) won a silver medal.



On the first day of tournament, Smbat Margaryan (w/c 56 kg.) won Europe's Champion title.



Tournament for 69 kg. weigh-class is due on October 15. Armenia will be represented by David Muradyan.



Let's note that 9 Armenian weigh-lifters have left for left for Vladislavovo, Poland to participate in championship.
