Ministry of Culture may move to Gyumri, paper says

PanARMENIAN.Net - According to Hraparak daily, the issue of moving Armenia’s Ministry of Culture to Gyumri has been widely discussed.“The issue is still being debated; however, if the decision is passed, 2 issues would become resolved at once: the capital will be freed of the institutions and the city’s local color restored.

However, considering that most Armenian officials reside in Yerevan, the decision won’t be made easily,” the paper said.

The acting head of the Ministry’s PR department Ruzanna Stepanyan refused to comment on the report above, citing lack of official information, the paper said.
