Mediapoligon-Yerevan 24 educational program launches in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University hosted the opening ceremony for Mediapoligon-Yerevan 24 innovative educational program.

VivaCell-MTS, the General Partner of the program provided mobile numbers and 4G Wi-Fi routers to the eight dozen foreign participants and organizers of the project, enabling free phone calls within VivaCell-MTS, as well as the use of 3G/4G Internet to send and broadcast reports.

The program participants are required to send their text, photo and video materials to the main office of the Project at the Moscow House Cultural and Business Center for further publishing.

Mediapoligon-Yerevan 24 is organized by the Moscow-based media holding Expert in cooperation with Russkiy Reporter magazine and Arminfo news agency.

“Educational initiatives are highly valued by our company,” VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian said. “Mediapoligon-Yerevan 24 is remarkable given that young journalists from different countries will have a chance to communicate with each other, learn from each other, broaden their minds and acquire professional skills. These are human qualities that can be acquired through constant self-development, self-education and self-improvement. I am glad that the capacities of VivaCell-MTS network will serve these young people in organizing their activity in the framework of the project.”

Mediapoligon-Yerevan 24 aims to unite current and prospective professionals in the media sphere. The program is a unique opportunity for young journalists and students to acquire knowledge, hone their skills and get acquainted with renowned professionals from Armenia and abroad. Throughout a week, guest speakers will deliver lectures and master-classes in journalism, photo and video.

Mediapoligon-Yerevan 24 also features a special 24-hour event - Yerevan 24 – during which young participants of the program will publish stories about the life in Yerevan. The participants will visit places of interest in the city and describe their impressions about the life in the capital. Their stories will be published during 24 hours on the websites of Russkiy Reporter magazine and Arminfo news agency.

Yerevan is the ninth city to host the Mediapoligon educational program. Previously, it has been held in the Russian cities of Belgorod, Kaliningrad, Novosibirsk, Kazan, Ekaterinburg, Ufa, Perm, Chelyabinsk and Samara, as well as the capital of Belarus, Minsk.
