Second motorcade with property of Russian military base made for Armenia from Georgia
The second motorcade in 2007 with property of Russian 62nd military base of Akhalkalaki, Georgia, made for Armenia. 10 KamAz trucks are included in the motorcade. The property of the 62nd base will be transported to the 102nd Russian military base which is located in Gyumri, Armenia.

Totally it is scheduled to send 6 motorcades from Akhalkalaki. Besides, 19 echelons will be sent from Georgia to Armenia and Russia with armament, equipment and property of Russian bases.

Withdrawal of armament, equipment and servicemen and the full dismantling of Russian bases in Akhalkalaki and Batumi are being carried out on the bases of Georgian-Russian agreement. The document touches upon the terms and order of temporary functioning of Russian bases and other units of GRFSC (Group of Russian Forces in South Caucasus). Representatives of Georgian and Russian Defense Ministries signed the agreement in Sochi March 31, 2006.

In accordance with the agreement between Georgia and Russia the base in Akhalkalaki must be closed till October 1, 2007, and the base in Batumi must the dismantled till October 1, 2008, IA Russian Peacekeeper reports.
