PanARMENIAN.Net - The situation along the border with Azerbaijan was relatively calm, no shots were fired overnight on December 29-30, Armenian Defense Ministry spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisyan said.

Meanwhile, around 40 ceasefire violations by the Azerbaijani army were registered on the contact line with Nagorno Karabakh in the reporting period.

Azeri troops, in particular, fired more than 1300 shots from various caliber firearms.

Karabakh Defense Army troops retaliated in case of necessity to continue controlling the entire line of contact.
