Bachkov defeated Uzbekistan's Elnur Abduraimov 5-0 and is now guaranteed no worse than a bronze medal. Bachkov will fight in the semifinals against Keyshawn Davis of the United States. Gymnast Artur Davtyan won Armenia's first medal at the Olympics in Tokyo on Monday. The 28-year-old athlete scored 14․733 points in the men's vault event to snatch the bronze medal.
