7 Karabakh patient transferred to France, Bulgaria for treatment.

PanARMENIAN.Net - 7 patients injured as a result of the fuel depot explosion and military aggression in Nagorno-Karabakh have been transferred to France and Bulgaria to continue treatment in the best clinics, the Armenian Health Ministry reveals.

The possibility of the victims to continue treatment abroad was evaluated by specialists from said countries together with doctors treating them in Armenia.

“After being admitted to medical centers in an extremely critical condition, thanks to the professional approach of our specialists, their condition stabilized somewhat, and now they are ready for transfer. Patients need long-term and complex treatment,” the Health Ministry said in a statement on Friday, October 5.

“As a result of the international cooperation of the Armenian Ministry of Health, other countries have also expressed their willingness to help Armenia."

On September 19, Azerbaijan launched a military offensive against Nagorno-Karabakh, which left hundreds of Armenians killed and thousands of others displaced. On September 20, the authorities of Nagorno-Karabakh agreed to a ceasefire on Azerbaijan’s terms, including the dissolution of the Defense Army. On September 18, President of the Republic of Artsakh Samvel Shahramanyan signed a decree, according to which the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) will cease to exist by January 1, 2024. As of 1 October, 100,625 displaced residents have already fled Nagorno-Karabakh and reached Armenia.

At least 170 people are known to have died in a huge explosion at a fuel depot in Nagorno-Karabakh on September 25.
